fifth grade
Welcome to my classroom website! I’m Sarah Mason and I teach fifth grade at Sam Adams Elementary. I am so excited that this year I will be teaching Mathematics and Science to the entire fifth grade. So I will get to know every student in the grade. I will have a homeroom that I will writing and spelling too.
I grew up in Lawton and love being from a small town. I graduated from Western Michigan University (Go Broncos!) with my Bachelor's Degree. I also have my Master's Degree from Marygrove College in Detroit.
WMU is where I met my husband, Travis. He went through the aviation program at WMU and is now a pilot. The students will hear about where he travels to. We have a dog named Porter and a cat named Violet. The students will also get to hear the adventures of my pets.
Before teaching in Cassopolis, I taught fourth grade in Benton Harbor. I also have experience with being a one on one paraprofessional for students with Autism. I was also a Title 1 reading teacher. All of my experiences have helped me so much in my career.
Last year was fantastic! I am so excited to be teaching in Cassopolis. The community has been so welcoming to me. I can't wait for this year's fifth graders. I know this year is going to be just as wonderful as my other years here. We will have so much fun learning together. Thank you for visiting my website.
